The feature fundraiser for Healthy Start Coalition, Dancing with Vero’s Stars, in partnership with Riverside Theatre will take place Saturday evening, May 12, 2018 at Riverside Theatre. Once again, we’ll offer an evening of tempting tangos, sizzling salsas and jiving jitterbugs, performed by local stars matched with professional dance instructors in it’s celebratory 10th anniversary season!

A Perfect Ten!
This year, Dancing with Vero’s Stars is celebrating our tenth anniversary – a decade of delightful dancing, fantastic fundraising and nearly 100 local stars who have helped raise over $1 million dollars for the children and families of Indian River County.
To thank our incredible community of friends, DWVS alumni and fans, we’re throwing a bash. Join us April 20th at the IG Center from 5:30 to 8:00 pm. This exciting, high-profile, complimentary event will include a “Star Walk” arrival, catered cocktail party and bar, silent auction and dancing showcases, DWVS alumni tribute, and the announcement of the DWVS ‘18 line-up!

Some of the strongest dance routines in the history of Dancing with Vero’s Stars were enjoyed Saturday evening, May 14 on the Riverside Theatre stage, raising over $292,000 for Indian River Healthy Start Coalition. The 655-seat sold-out Theatre was full of people on their feet with multiple standing ovations, while the four-hour evening glowed with tasty food, impeccable décor, an inviting Silent Auction and unlimited entertainment filled with the sounds of thunderous applause, boisterous hoorays and raucous laughter.
Ten local “star” dancers, matched with ten local dance instructors, dressed in tinsel and glitter, danced with joy and pride as they performed Swing, Cha Cha, Tango, waltz, Hip Hop and more twists and turns than one could have imagined.

Healthy Start Coalition
Indian River County Healthy Start Coalition is the administrative office which oversees the funding and services for five programs; Healthy Start Services, MomCare, Babies & Beyond, Healthy Families, and Parents as Teachers. The Coalition is a not-for-profit agency whose core funding comes from the Florida Department of Health.
With close to 300 performances on three stages each year, Riverside Theatre is the area's only professional, not-for-profit theatre. It houses one of the state's only free-standing buildings dedicated to children's theatre and is one of a few theatres in Florida designated as a Cultural Institution. The theatre also has one of the largest subscribing audiences in Florida and attracts over 100,000 patrons annually.
