Karren Walter, veteran dance instructor for the Indian River County Healthy Start Coalition’s Dancing with Vero’s Stars, has a new partner for the May 13 event at Riverside Theatre. Colt Crosby has stepped in where star dancer Joe Del Campo had to step out, and he is doing so with both feet in to have fun, raise money and help the nonprofit meet their goals.
Crosby is a fifth-generation Floridian, raised in Vero Beach by Kelly and Kenny Crosby, and is a graduate of Vero Beach High School.
He is a veteran, serving four honorable years in the U.S. Marine Corps in Japan, the Philippines, Norway and Iraq. Stateside, he completed the Law Enforcement Academy, and was an officer for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and for Osceola County.
After working in the commercial air conditioning field, it propelled Crosby to become a student in an apprenticeship program for commercial HVAC and he aspires to own and operate his own business.
Crosby joins nine other star dancers who are all working diligently to help make this popular annual social/fundraising event a hit again this year.
Sponsorship opportunities are currently available for consideration. Complimentary tickets are included in many of the sponsorship packages. You may refer to www.Dancingwithverostars.com for a list of sponsorship packages, or contact any of the participating dancers directly. You may assign the cost of your sponsorship toward your favorite dancer as each $1 raised will equate to a vote for the dancer.
Additionally, if you are looking to donate to the IRC Healthy Start Coalition in the name of your favorite dancer, you may visit www.Dancingwithverostars.com to do so. Each $1 raised will equate to a vote for the dancer of your choice.
