Robby Rivas, one of the ten star dancers in the 11th Annual Dancing with Vero’s Stars, and an engineer and fire medic, participated in the 2018 Big Heart Brigade of the Treasure Coast on Wednesday, November 21, 2018.

The Big Heart Brigade of the Treasure Coast operates under the motto “Coming to the Rescue”, and supports returning wounded U.S. Military, feeding the less fortunate at Thanksgiving, and assisting incapacitated First Responders within our community. Rivas, a 9 year participant, along with fellow fire medics and community volunteers, delivered over 400 turkeys to local organizations that serve the less fortunate for a Thanksgiving meal.

Pamela DeChellis, another star dancer in the 2018 Dancing with Vero’s Stars, served turkey dinners on Thanksgiving day at the Home Alone Thanksgiving Dinner, held at Our Savior Lutheran Church. This event has been held for over a decade and serves more than 100 meals to those “home alone” for the holiday. Pamela DeChellis is a physical therapist assistant and personal trainer in Vero Beach.
